Software/Hardware Intern
Research & Development: Escanaba, MI
1st Shift

Supports the electronics and/or software development of new products through technical and non technical support, which aids in the company meeting management goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works on projects in support of development programs which may include:
    • Electrnic circuit design, development, test, and/or troubleshooting
    • Embedded sftware design, development, test, and/or troubleshooting
    • Develpment of tools that support embedded products
    • Develpment of production and business systems that support embedded products
  • Interpersonal Skills
    • Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Participates in meetings.
    • Written Communication – Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.
    • Teamwork – Balances team and individual responsibilities; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.

Education and/or Experience
Must have completed at least 18 college credit hours and be actively pursuing a degree in engineering courses relevant to working at EMP.
