Larche Family Continues EMP Engineering Scholarship to Michigan Technological University

The family of Escanaba native and Michigan Tech University graduate Brian Larche established the EMP/Larche Family Engineering Scholarship Fund in 2018. Larche is the Owner, Chairman and CEO of EMP in Escanaba.
Each year up to four scholarships of $10,000 are awarded to recipients that will enroll at Michigan Technological University (MTU) and pursue a degree in the field of engineering. All 2020 award recipients have a cumulative GPA of 4.0 or better.
MTU Scholarship award recipients for 2020 are:
- Madison Block – Escanaba High School
- Madison Ide – Escanaba High School
- Charles Tackman – 2019 senior enrolled in the Early Middle College Program through Escanaba High School.
- Kurtis Shiverski – Bark River High School / Bay College.
Brian Larche noted “this community has been wonderful to my family over the years. I have no greater pleasure than to support and inspire future generations to enter the field of engineering at Michigan Tech University”.
