Rugged DesignThe WP150 features die cast aluminum castings for strength, durability and improved heat transfer from the motor and electronics. This allows for continuous, high output coolant flow and pressure in extreme temperature conditions, as well as salt, spray, pressure wash, chemicals, or UV.
12, 24, or 48 VDC Brushless MotorBrushless, permanent magnet motors are combined with EMP designed motor control electronics to provide a high efficiency, long life pump. Brushless motors have no contacting parts to wear and reduce life. Features include locked rotor protection, over temperature protection, and over current protection. This motor comes in 12 volt, 24 volt, and 48 volt options.
Advanced Diagnostic CapabilityIntelligent diagnostics help the user understand how the pump and even system is operating. The diagnostics can be communicated through SAE J1939 CAN for real time analysis, or diagnostic data can be downloaded using EMPowerConnect service tool and sent to EMP for analysis. This is especially useful for troubleshooting or system development.
Full Variable Speed ControlUsing SAE J1939-15 CAN, pumps can be operated anywhere between the pre-configured minimum and maximum speeds. This allows the user to optimize speed to minimize power consumption or change speed to optimize the performance of the overall system. It can also operate as a single speed ON/OFF pump that delivers continuous output set by the customer requirements.
Service Tool and ConfigurationsEMP pumps can be controlled manually using EMPower Connect™ Service Tool. The software in the pumps can be changed or upgraded in the field using this tool. History data can be downloaded and includes hours of operation, temperature data, voltage data, calibration information and diagnostic fault codes.
Sealed and Fully SubmersibleEMP pumps are sealed and fully submersible for long life operation when exposed to the elements. Pumps are validated to withstand submersion and direct pressure wash.
Lab-Tested For Severe ConditionsEMP Pumps are validated to withstand all field conditions including thermal cycles, salt spray, pressure wash, thermal shock, vibration and shock, electrical transients, ESD, reverse battery and more. Durability testing has surpassed 20,000 hours of continuous operation.
Temperature InputsEMP electric water pumps have the ability to read external temperature sensors and control speed based on this input. They are also able to broadcast temperatures to the vehicle via SAE J1939 CAN.
High Efficiency, Compact, QuietThe motor, electronics, and fluid design have been optimized for high efficiency. The end result is the highest possible flow and pressure for a given amount of input power. The design is also packaged to have as small a footprint as possible for the given pump performance and minimize sound output.
Protection From Transients, Short-circuit, and Reverse BatteryThe electronics are designed to be able to handle all situations that can occur on the vehicle including voltage spikes, shorting of wires together, reversing battery leads and electro-static discharges.
