EMP has announced financial support of Delta County 4-H Youth Programs in 2021. At the recent Junior Market Lori Branstrom Memorial Livestock Auction held on August 21, EMP purchased Tate Thompson’s 1,351 lb. steer, and Corston Zona’s 289 lb. hog.
In making the announcement, Paul Harvey, vice president of EMP noted “EMP is celebrating 40-years in business this year. Under the leadership of both Brian and Brandon Larche, we remain committed to our community and proud to support local youth initiatives.” Harvey added “with EMP’s livestock purchase, $5,100 was raised for the local 4-H. After processing the livestock, a raffle was then conducted for EMP employees – raising an additional $2,900 for the Delta County 4-H Youth Program.”
Lynn Labadie, auction participant from Bark River stated “I always love sharing with people that every year EMP buys livestock at the auction, and then turns around and raffles off meat bundles to the employees, and then donates the raffle money to 4-H.”
