On April 02, 2008 in regards to EMP's miniHybrid Thermal Kit:
"We have 17 units in operation and this will become part of our next specification. We have them operating on several engine platforms, ISL, C9, Series 50, and Series 40. We have experienced fuel economy gains in the neighborhood of 3% to 14% and have not had one overheat issue. Debris collecting in the radiator and CAC has been all but eliminated. With the systems in the New Flyers that we operate with the OEM hydraulic system removed you literally can stand between the engine and radiator assembly to work in the engine compartment. With the Series 40 engines we dropped over 500 pounds of dead weight out of them and improved the performance and hot weather reliability.
